Correlation matrix of stress data

In the class, students were given assignment to collect data from 10 persons using 22 items rating scale measuring subjective assessment of stress. This is sample raw data:




Below is the correlation matrix of 22 variables of 8 cases given by my student Avijit Chakraborty, student of performing art therapy centre, RBU., Kolkata:

The matrix provides cues about extent of relations among different items or the complaints.



Here is the caution: samples are not randomly taken and small in size. It is used to know about basic ideas about statistics and its application in understanding stress behaviour.

Students were asked to follow this formula in Ms-Excel: = correlation(a1:a10, b1:b10).
