  D Dutta Roy Initially, it was assumed that this was not possible as both countries possessed nuclear weapons. Second, it was high altitude war, so airforce might not be able to co-ordinate army. Third, international tension would restrain and quick settlement of Kashmir issue. Fourth was political mileage of both countries.

  D Dutta Roy Here, I noted psychological operations. PSYOP is powerful tool to achieve national objectives without any major destruction. I met some Pakistani soldiers in Lahore. They fought against India but they praised India. This phenomenon was strange to me.

  D Dutta Roy We find PSYOP from the period of Alexander. Alexander fought against Puru but he treated Puru as the king not as the enemy. India did the same after Kargil war. Whereas Pakistan failed to treat their soldiers in this way.
